Do you garden in your best shoes?
We work with some truly wonderful principals at our Green Schools. They support our gardening projects 100%. They also view their school uniforms with great pride.

Unfortunately, the two ideals sometimes bump heads – because all too often the children have no choice but to garden in their school uniforms.
But you can change that by clicking here, and making a secure online donation!
So you can see why we’re renewing our drive to provide 500 learners with disability at our Green Schools with proper gardening clothes and equipment. Because while we like to think that a bit of dirt on a child is a good thing – the dirt should be on the child and not their uniform!
Will you help right now?
Their shoes especially should not be used for gardening. The garden gets really muddy and wet at this time of year, and for many, their school shoes are the only pair they have. With your support, we can provide disabled learners with gumboots instead, as well as T-shirts and overalls, caps, gloves and tools.
We had an amazing response to our Arbor Week appeal, with friends donating R12000 to fully kit out 12 learners with disabilities.
Thank you!
But we need to provide protective gardening clothes to all seven of the schools (500 learners) that we work with. So in the spirit of the festive season – and giving our principals one less issue to take up with their students! – please support this great cause today.
